The statue now states that school districts may install and maintain camera systems on buses with a civil penalty for all stop arm violations. The City of Wilmore recently hosted a 3 day Salute to Service event at the Thomson-Hood Veterans Center to honor the service and sacrifice of military veterans. 250 veterans were recognized and honored during the festivities. NPD had the privilege to assist in escorting the travelling Vietnam Wall memorial, the Cost of Freedom Memorial, and the Global War on Terror Memorial from Southland Christian Church, through Downtown Nicholasville, and on to Thomson-Hood Veterans Center

The Kentucky Office of Highway Safety takes part in the National Click It or Ticket campaign annually. Research shows that wearing your seatbelt can reduce the risk of injury or death up to 65%. Take a few extra seconds this Memorial Day weekend to check and double check that all vehicle passengers have correctly secured their seat and safety belts. It could literally save a life.
