CRIMINAL INVESTIGATIONS DIVISION

The Criminal Investigations Division (CID) within a police department plays a pivotal role in the pursuit of justice and the resolution of criminal cases. Comprising of skilled detectives, this division is tasked with conducting in-depth investigations into reported crimes that go beyond the immediate response handled by the patrol division. Detectives specialize in gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses and suspects, and piecing together complex cases to identify perpetrators and build solid legal cases. Their expertise extends to various types of crimes, including homicides, sexual assaults, fraud, and property crimes.

By focusing on thorough investigations, this division contributes to the overall safety of the community, assists in preventing future criminal acts, and supports the criminal justice system by providing the necessary evidence for prosecutions. The collaboration between the patrol division and CID ensures a comprehensive approach to law enforcement, fostering a safer and more secure environment for the community.
